Pastor Bob Porterfield was raised in a pastor’s home in Warren, Ohio. He came to faith
in Christ after a Sunday evening service when he was seven years old. He went to
Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana and got his bachelor’s degree in May of 1976.
He also met his best friend, Linda, at Grace College and they were married in June of
1976. He studied at Grace Theological Seminary also in Winona Lake, Indiana. He
received his Master of Divinity degree in 1979.
Pastor Bob has pastored three churches before becoming the pastor of Lake
Community Bible Church in September of 2024. The last church he pastored was in
Coopersville, Michigan where he served for 34 years. He has been a member of the
IFCA International since 1980 and has served the fellowship in various capacities.
Pastor Bob and Linda have 4 grown children and 10 grandchildren. He loves to teach
and preach the Word of God. He also enjoys hiking and spending time with his family.
Pastor Bob and Linda live in Whitehall, Michigan where five of their ten grandchildren
live.
